This appendix provides a detailed discussion of the methods used in the project that underpins this book. Different sections outline how the data for Chapters 4, 6 and 8 of the book were collected and analysed, setting out the rationale for the methods, and noting the limitations of the research. We close with an exploration of the opportunities created by mixed methods work of the kind used in this project. In particular, this approach has allowed us to compensate for the short-comings of individual methods and to provide rich comparative data about different aspects of the women's movement.
