Computational fluid dynamics: Designing a feedback system for non-mathematical users to overcome the barriers to real-time CFD analysis

Jessica Dunn, Yan Ding and Asha Rao as mathematicians consider how to overcome the drawbacks of the complexity of Computational Fluid Dynamics for non-mathematical users looking for rapid but meaningful feedback. CFD is a virtual simulation technique for gathering information about the performance and behavior of fluid interactions - the movement of boats in water, sails in airflow, buildings in the wind, for example. The authors conceive the specification for a future system that could give real-time feedback.
