Fire performance of maritime composites

This chapter provides a review on the behavior of maritime composite at elevated temperature, characterizations of fire occurring in marine environment, and safety codes of designing composite structures for marine applications. Work on simulation of composite materials in marine application is also reviewed to provide the insight of the materials' behavior subjected to fire. Methods of improving the fire performance of maritime composite are presented.
