Lived Experience Researchers: Opportunities and challenges in mental health

Two lived experience mental health researchers explore key issues faced within their roles, with reference to contemporary research. As lived experience researchers, the authors identify with and are employed specifically to work from the perspective of a lived experience of mental health diagnosis/service use and periods of healing. Together, they bring extensive experience working in mental health services before embarking on academic careers.
