The authors of this chapter make the argmnent that educational researchers need to critically examine the quickly evolving cultural, social, and organisational dynamics of 21st century lean1ing environments and lean1ers. In order to do this, it may be necessaiy to investigate the behaviours ai1d intentions of others, including, but not limited to school achninisters, teachers, and of course students. While researching the "ch·ivers" of behaviour can be complex and challenging, a framework detailing the salient psycho-social predictors of behaviour 1nay be particularly helpful in helping researchers investigate and explain intention and/or behaviour. The purpose of this chapter is to discuss how the Theory of Plaimed Behaviour (TPB) (Ajzen, 2005) 1nay be used in Education Research as a framework to further understandings of teachers', students' , or others' intentions and/or behaviour.
