RESEARCH BACKGROUND: For more than forty years, the extraordinary Peter Corrigan has contributed a unique and imaginative voice to Australian architecture. An exhibition staged at RMIT Gallery included a catalogue and curator Vanessa Gerrans invited me to contribute a chapter. RESEARCH CONTRIBUTION: The exhibition traced Peter's creative focus, bringing to life many of his designs over four decades including architectural models and drawings by Edmond & Corrigan, set and costume designs for theatre, artworks, notations and books from his personal collection and library alongside key works selected from public collections. My contribution focussed on architecture and particularly Building 8 which Edmond Corrigan designed. RESEARCH SIGNIFICANCE: The exhibition attracted 10,105 visitors. Reviews appeared in The Melbourne Review, Architecture Australia and Fairfax Media (Sydney Morning Herald and The Age). Copies are attached
