Here Today, Gone Tomorrow' was an article featured in an special edition of 'Public Art Review' on Australia and New Zealand in a US based magazine covering the world of public art. The piece was located within an editorial selection of articles covering the many aspects of public art practice in Australia and New Zealand. The piece gave an overview of developments in ephemeral public art practices, programs and policies in each of the capital cities around Australia.
As Ephemeral practices are relatively new in being recognised as a policy approach for local governments, this article is one of the first to cover this aspect nationally from the perspective of the capital cities. The article gave a unique overview on developing ephemeral public art policy and practices occurring across Australian capital cities. The article revealed that artists practices into temporary approaches is being recognised at local government levels and is becoming translated and incorporated as a legitimate methodology to public art practice through programs which encourage these activities.
