A study of primary school computer based compositional activities in Taiwan

With the increase of teachers' computer literacy and the high availability of information technology (IT) facilities in schools, the teaching environment is improving and changing in Taiwan. More teachersare integrating IT into their classes including the teaching of musical understanding, appreciation, and composition. This paper considers the issue of computer based compositional activities in primary school. The reults present the students' preferences and reasons for their compositional activities. The relationship between different variables of students' gender, attitudes, and performance are demonstrated.
