Advances towards useful Airborne Induced Polarization surveys

conference contribution
posted on 2024-10-31, 22:00 authored by James MacnaeJames Macnae
Shallow sourced airborne induced polarization (AIP) effects are commonly seen in airborne electromagnetic data, and provide useful near-surface mapping tools. Effective economic sulphide exploration using AIP requires significant changes to airborne survey geometries and sensors. Hardware developments in this field are moving systematically towards an operating system, with initial test data now available.
