The software architecture and some preliminary results of an innovative ground-based Air Traffic Management (ATM) system providing automated 4DT Planning, Negotiation and Validation (4-PNV) functionalities are presented. The 4-PNV system is conceived to operationally deploy the multi-objective optimisation, negotiation and validation of 4DT intents in combination with Next Generation Flight Management Systems (NG-FMS). The NG-FMS generates optimised trajectories based on multiple environmental and operational criteria. The 4-PNV validates 4DT intents through real-time negotiation, ensuring adequate separation for each aircraft. In this article we investigate the 4-PNV for optimized Arrival Management (AMAN) operations. The adopted negotiation algorithms result well within the timeframe of online tactical rerouting tasks.
