The paper presents the optimal control techniques used to perform bi-objective flight trajectory optimization. Direct methods are applied in conjunction with the adaptive bisection epsilon-constraint scalarization method, and a generic A320 airliner model, to generate pareto frontiers for climb trajectories optimized for minimum time and fuel.
