Bidirectional quasi-passive reconfigurable (Bi-QPAR) node for flexible access networks

A bidirectional quasi-passive reconfigurable (Bi-QPAR) node is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. Results show that the Bi-QPAR is capable of dynamic power and wavelength allocation for both downlink and uplink with <0.7 dB power penalty.
