Change Management and Leadership: Singaporean and Thai Organisatonal Contexts

This study investigates leadership styles and approaches in Singapore and Thailand. The key focus is the links among organisational culture, leadership and organisational change. Case study approach was adopted in this study by investigating two different organisations under public sector in Thailand and private sector in Singapore. The results confirm key similarities and differences in characteristics of leaders in both cultural settings. This study also confirms the influence of organisational culture on leadership styles in both countries. It also compares and discusses various approaches adopted by Singaporean and Thai leaders in the process of organisational change.
