E-Government Adoption in Saudi Arabia: The Moderation Effect of Wastta

This paper presents an investigation of the moderation effect of the Saudi culture referred to as Wastta on the adoption of e-government in Saudi Arabia from the perspective of citizens. A hierarchical multiple regression analysis is conducted on the data collected through the survey of Saudi citizens. The study shows that Wastta influences the adoption of egovernment through its moderating effect on the perceived ease of use and the perceived usefulness of e-government. This study contributes to the e-government research by highlighting the moderation effect of Wastta on e-government adoption in a developing country context.
