Electrical output power performance of the photovoltaic (PV) system can be improved by lowering the panel temperature through passive cooling. This can be achieved by implementing phase change material thermal storage to limit the temperature rise under constant solar incident. In this paper, an experimental investigation was conducted to explore the effect of thermal and electrical performance of PV panels using honeycomb type of slab as thermal storage for absorbing the accumulated heat energy.
