Formula H - Risk assessment and safety strategies in a student hydrogen vehicle project

Students from RMIT University and Fachhochschule Ingolstadt have manufactured a hydrogen powered racing car. Due to a lack of globally recognized design standards, the team has adapted existing gas vehicle standards and proposed hydrogen draft regulations, and performed a comprehensive Failure Mode Effect Analysis to establish project safety protocols. This paper reports on the team's experiences and findings.
