High efficient, compact and broadband 2×2 polarization beam splitter on silicon nitride

A 2×2 SiN polarization beam splitter is proposed. The device has >10 dB extinction ratio throughout the measured band (1530 to 1610 nm) with low insertion loss of 0.13 dB (TE) and 0.34 dB (TM).
