Crisis is a phenomenon which occurs in all dimensions of life. At an organizational level, the occurrence of different types of crises leads to organizations in both the private and public sectors to explore effective crisis management strategies and plans in order to protect the organization's reputation and ensure the continuity of its business and growth. The significance of crisis management has been highlighted through Einstein's work where he claimed that problem identification is a most important aspect of crisis management and that a collaborative environment and diverse levels of thinking are some of its key components. Thus, if a crisis is not managed efficiently, it will inevitably result in a negative influence. Crisis management is affected by a number of factors, such as lack of communication, ineffective planning, lack of effective decision-making, ineffective training and awareness, etc. The research under consideration specifically focuses on the Abu Dhabi Police Force (ADPF) and examines the way through which factors, such as lack of communication and lack of training, affect crisis management practices in this specific organization. To achieve the aim of the research, an observational approach is adopted. The results reveal a shortfall in effective communication and training within the ADPF which fails to properly address eventual crises and successfully manage them. Based on these results, a Crisis Communication and Awareness Management Model is suggested for the ADPF, which would assist in improving communication during crisis events and contribute towards improving training practices within the organization. This would ultimately lead to the development of an effective crisis management process.
