A review of the existing literature has revealed enormous benefits of supply chain collaboration. However, some studies also report failures in the implementation phase. There is a lack of clear theoretical framework which guides organizations in implementing or improving the collaboration maturity level for the supply chain. This research aims at developing a maturity model for supply chain collaboration (MM-SCC), based on Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) approach which is recognized as an important improvement tool for organisations. The framework is considered as a diagnostic tool for analysing current collaboration practices in organizations as well as a roadmap to guide organizations toward advancement level in supply chain collaboration. The proposed model has five maturity stages in terms of best supply chain collaboration processes.
