Mechatronics teaching using general physical systems approach

This paper is a short review of an approach adapted in introducing students to Mechatronics engineering. Mechatronics systems are seen as general physical systems that can be modelled using ordinary linear differential equations. The use of the same equations for different systems is just another proof of the unique nature of the world around us. Energy in a complex system is carried by different physical quantities and using current technology can easily be transferred between systems without great loss. It is transferred across physical systems according to known and yet unknown laws of physics.
