This paper explores the imagined, un-made and un-formed design ideas that 'exist' immaterialized in the cognitive space of creative practitioners. Of particular interest to this research are practitioners who are living and working with a chronic illness. These individuals face a distinctive set of challenges and methodologically must find ways to remain connected to their practice and processes. At times, often due to illness, the body calls for rest and stillness. It is proposed that this cessation of practice, or 'stillness' is not static but a site where another form of immaterial making can occur.
