In the following we present a first overview of stressreduction approaches within the transportation context in general and the car's rear-seat in particular. The objective of this overview is to gather stress-reduction approaches, break them down to their very basic calming mechanism and frame them towards pleasurable passenger experiences. We identified four generic strategies and describe them by their dimensional scope in order to enable designers to structure their thinking about stress-less interfaces by aligning their tactical approaches with the rear-seat's design scope and the desired effects on the user.
