Research Background The City of Melbourne commissioned Dr Maggie McCormick and Dr Geoff Hogg to develop and co curate two major tramway hoardings on Swanston Street as part of the tram stop redevelopment program. Research Significance This project was a direct commission from the City of Melbourne who requested the curatorial expertise of Geoff Hogg and Maggie McCormick. The project was fully funded by The City of Melbourne. Research Contribution This project created new knowledge in the area of integrated urban art. The approach created new knowledge in the area of art and transport infrastructure incorporated in an integrated manner rather than application to existing structures, which has been the approach in the past. This work innovated in relation to both methods of work and forms created.
