journal contribution
posted on 2024-11-01, 02:56 authored by Damian Schofield, Ken Fowle, Lorna Goodwin, Jeremy Noond
This paper will introduce and discuss a range of techniques that utilise the new developments in computer graphics and virtual reality for the investigation of incidents and accidents in mining environments. It will explain how the future of mining safety may not be totally led by the demands of the mine operators, but sometimes by the academics, commercial software developers and legal pioneers who generate new ideas and products and set admissibility precedents which may change the way certain traditional investigative operations are performed.
