Art Study Tours: Education, Experience, and Values.

Art study tours provide students with alternate modes of learning and experiencing art and practice. The New York Study Tour organized by the School of Art at RMIT University provides students with rich and immersive opportunities to experience art they would not normally see live as part of their program of study. This paper presents observations, encounters, and reflections of conducting art study tours to New York City and directly draws on educational and artistic experiences of lecturers and students.
