Efficient wideband printed antennas on lithium niobate for OEICs

Printed antenna structures for integration with z-cut and x-cut LiNbO3 based optoelectronic devices are presented. The designs are based on the hi-lo stacked patch element, which yields a high efficiency broadband antenna. Experimental verification of both printed antennas is given.
