Empathy with the Masses

John Grierson disliked the central heroic character, instead he used co-operative characters. I reflect on Grierson’s idea via the creation of a film using co-operative characters (Expect Delays (2018)) and discovered that central characters are important part of my practice, but less important for audience engagement.
