If we could speak again with Derrida

journal contribution
posted on 2024-11-01, 03:14 authored by Elizabeth GriersonElizabeth Grierson
Jacques Derrida's narrative of death engages with the cartography of absence, with one's being-present in life in the face of the aporia of death. His textual genres illuminate the aporia, tracing the otherness of language and thought, giving voice to subjectivity and difference, and ultimately leaving the making of meaning to the performative processes of text itself.
