This project explored the reasons why businesses in Australia still use cheques, given that the cost-benefits and efficiencies of electronic payments are overall far greater than that of paper based transactions. We interviewed small to medium businesses (SMEs) to find out the payment channels they were using to pay bills and also to understand how they in turn received income from both businesses and individuals.
