Rising threat of Oropouche virus transmission from mother to child: An urgent call for action

<p dir="ltr">Oropouche virus (OROV), an emerging arthropod-borne pathogen, is increasingly recognized as a significant public health threat in the Amazon and broader Latin American regions. As of October 15, 2024, 10,275 confirmed OROV cases were reported in nine countries of Americas region, with Brazil accounting for the majority (8258 including 2 deaths).</p>
