The Year of Living Dangerously: Dim Sims and the Birth of 'Just Policy', 1994

Martin Mowbray had the idea and John Wiseman and the author joined in initiating a new kind of social policy journal in the first months of 1994. The journal was launched in order to bring academics, researchers and practitioners together to say what was wrong with the dominant paradigm of 'free marketeers' and 'economic modernisers' promoting 'competition' and 'globalisation'.
