Humans aspire to be rational beings, but our feelings often drive us more than logic does. Emotional intelligence -- or the lack of it -- often plays a key role in our daily decisions. Some philosophers would argue, though, that every time we make a choice, ethics are at play. In the immortal words of television's favorite psychiatrist, Frasier's Frasier Crane, "Ethics are what you do when no one is looking."
