Theoretical design and circuit realization of complex multi-scroll chaotic systems

The well-known double-scroll Chua circuit builds the direct connection between chaos theory and nonlinear circuits at the first time.In fact,complex multi-scroll chaotic systems bridge the gap between the chaos theory and nonlinear circuits.As we know now that complex multi-scroll chaotic systems have very clear background for real-world engineering applications.And there is a rapid development in the theoretical design and circuit realization of complex multi-scroll chaotic systems over the last three decades.This paper briefly reviews the main advances in the theoretical design and circuit realization of complex multi-scroll chaotic systems over the last three decades,including basic theories,design approaches, and typical engineering applications.This paper attempts to advance the research of complex multi-scroll chaotic systems in mainland.
