Semantic models help to achieve semantic interoperability among sources of data and applications. The necessity to efficiently manage these types of objects has increased the number of specialised repositories, usually referred to as semantic databases or semantic repositories. Semantic repositories are the next frontier in managing big data. Semantic repositories and ontologies are growing and infiltrating many information zones and technology communications, as well as most application categories. They are attracting attention in many areas, including industry, healthcare, content management and life sciences, as an effective means of accomplishing complex information management tasks. An increasing number of project initiatives has been recorded which choose to formalise application knowledge using ontologies and semantic data representation. However, most semantic repositories are unable to effectively manage a semantic model. In this article, we build semantic data storage layout for semantic systems that provide optimised in terms of query performance and storage.
