Walkable City Collaborative Planning Strategy: The Case Study of Melbourne

This paper summarizes the background of the idea of walking city, analyzes the relevant research practice at home and abroad, and then walks from the two levels of connotation and value. The relationship between the city and its walking system is elaborated. Based on the above understanding, combined with the research method, a pedestrian city construction strategy based on collaborative planning is proposed. The collaborative planning significance of the system and motor vehicle traffic, public transportation, public space, public buildings and riding systems is discussed, combined with the practice of Melbourne pedestrian city construction. The implementation of the above five latitudes of collaborative planning is proposed.
