Filmed from the back of a motorbike, Circulate Solitary traces a journey through a part of Ho Chi Minh City where circulation dominates and place is divided. Here, roads leading northward converge with bridges and the metro, creating a space shaped by the logic of urban planning yet stripped of the qualities that make the city vibrant and alive—its communities.

Colour overlays act as reminders of what is absent. Intimate sequences, filmed while moving through the city centre, capture the spectacle of pavements, the choreography of motorbikes, and fleeting moments of connectedness. These stand in stark contrast to the black-and-white imagery of routes that lead only elsewhere.
