BACKGROUND: The research underlying this creative work is contextualised within the field of practice and research into the process of experimental drawing within landscape architectural representation. The work specifically uses the medium and context of live performance to extend the repertoire of landscape architectural representation into the experiential realm. CONTRIBUTION: 'The Line of Least and Greatest Resistance' was a collaborative project between Katrina Simon and Simon Twose for the At the Quadrennial, the project was presented in the form of an experiential tour of Prague City. Simon and Twose presented this alongside another project called 'Elusive Paths.' The city tour led participants in a traverse of Prague's fluvial potential. Participants turned into active collaborators as they became part of an active drawing of flood dynamics that were both revealed and newly created by their collective movement. They experienced an alternative dimension of the city through walking, and encountered the city as a form of flood. SIGNIFICANCE: For the 2015 Prague Quadrennial in Performance Design and Space, I was selected after a national Expression of Interest to work with Simon Twose - the national curator of the 'Space' section - on New Zealand's national entry, 'Resonant City.’ The proposal was then selected by the curator of the 'Performing Space or Ephemeral Section of Architecture' section, Serge von Axe, for its innovative connection between architecture and theatre. Since 1967, the Prague Quadrennial has brought to the fore the best of design for performance, scenography, and theatre architecture. PQ 2015 took place in over 60 locations in the center of Prague, included over 600 live events and over 150 expositions during the course of 11 days, presenting performance design (including spatial/set, costume, sound, lighting, and projection design work) from 78 countries. It attracted 180,000 visitors.
