The Research Background to this project was aligned with the Centre for Art, Society and Transformation (CAST) research structure at RMIT researches how art transforms human communities within an age of rapid urbanisation and globalisation. Key figures in the project were DR, Shane Hulbert and Dr. Tammy Wong who were organizing the "Artist Incubator: Glenroy" Project which explored the local neighbor hood of Glenroy. There were 3 outcomes to the project and Sofi and I worked independently of each other. 1./ The project contributed towards the overall Artists Incubator: Glenroy project and resulted in a body of twenty-one framed images derived from photographs taken by students with the assistance of art teacher Jeff Saker. The images also became the basis for a postcard series, which were displayed and shared with the Glenroy community at the Gathering Glenroy art event, held on Saturday 14 November, 2015. ( see attachments) 2./ The over 2,000 postcards were also distributed through the local Glenroy Library. Framed images of selected works were also installed permanently at the school on open day. .3./ The images derived from these images were the basis for the Glenroy Lightbox exhibition at Morgan Court, Glenroy. Moreland Council have recently upgraded this public space and have incorporated exhibition boxes to provide opportunities to engage and connect with local communities through art and cultural activities. Our project titled "Transparent Experience" was one of three selected through this EOI process and was displayed for approximately 2 months in February and March 2016. It was a collaboration I co-curated with Sofi Basseghi.
