Research Background: This new publication heralds a distinctive and unusual format for an exhibition. The book, Sightseeing is a box set of 90 concertina folding postcards which unpacks to create an innovative touring photography exhibition. My work contributed to the exhibition in the area of the narrative of fictions related to sites of warfare and military reconnasance. Research Signficance: The unique format of the work highlights the mobility of the postcard medium and the way in which landscape photography and tourism are linked, particularly in an era of instant electronic communication and my contribution to the exhibition particularly explored notions of narrative fact and narrative fiction, questioning reality in the context of secrecy. This book includes work by established German and New Zealand artists as a creative research collaboration edited by Hanna Scott, Ann Shelton . Artists include Elgar Esser, Haruhiko Sameshima, Sarah Schoenfield and Shmuel Hoffman, Jeremy Diggle, Anne Noble, Ann Shelton, Wayne Barrar, Grit Schwerdtfeger, Eva Leitolf, Doris Frohnapfel, John Di Stefano, Frank Breuer, Karin Apollonia-Muller, Fiona Amundsen and Mark Adams
