Speak Up

Speak Up (2011) is a vinyl banner installation created for the Fort Project at Brisbane Festival. Using simple materials—vinyl banner, quick links, and rope—the work presents direct text that confronts the viewer with questions of expectation and demand. First exhibited as part of the Under the Radar program at Metro Arts, the piece employs the immediacy and visibility of banner signage to create a moment of confrontation and reflection within the festival context.<p></p>
