This response concerns consumer disputes brought by a consumer to a court or a tribunal. It explores
some of the benefits of a public consumer online dispute resolution system (‘ODR’). We argue that ODR
holds vast potential for increasing access to justice in the domain of consumer protection and there are
strong normative arguments for exploring its potential in the resolution of consumer disputes in courts
and tribunals.
