posted on 2024-10-31, 19:21 authored by Louise Kyle, Fiona Macdonald, Eleanor Bentham
Multiple changes in the broader world of work, in combination with changing demand, and transformed governance, funding and service provision in the community services industry, are likely to present significant challenges to building a sustainable and strong community services industry with a skilled and responsive workforce. In this evidence review a short description of relevant global and national trends in work and public policy is followed by an overview of some of the key workforce issues for the industry relating to: labour demand and supply; the organisation of work and the nature of jobs; and skills and training.
