Community consultations have taken place in Honiara since 2015, as part of the Honiara Urban Resilience and Climate Action Plan (HURCAP). During this process, the HURCAP identified Jabros as an additional vulnerability ‘hotspot’ for assessment; to be conducted as part of the Climate Resilient Honiara (CRH) project. This community development plan integrates the findings from 3 different assessments: 1) community consultations to inform climate actions, 2) engineering solutions targeting local priority needs, and 3) geospatial mapping and analysis.

It is intended that this development plan acts as a community guide for future development that strengthens the resilience of Jabros residents and infrastructure to current and future climate impacts.
