Beyond the economic, what is the value of transnational education partnerships to stakeholders, institutions and communities in both the UK and overseas? What are the drivers for institutions to engage in TNE and what are the challenges? The Value of TNE is the result of an extensive literature review and analysis of 79 interviews conducted with representatives from ministries, regulatory bodies and institutions. Spanning over 12 geographies and including a series of case studies, this report showcases the variety of value and impact TNE can have across and within countries. This research was commissioned by the British Council under our Going Global Partnerships programme. Going Global Partnerships build stronger, more inclusive, internationally connected higher education and TVET systems.
