In the search for more sustainable means of achieving thermally comfortable or stimulative interiors, natural ventilation strategies are favourable. However, the codification of quantitative effects of naturally ventilated buildings, resulting in human exposure to transient airflow, is still an underdeveloped area of study leading to our further dependence on inefficient mechanical thermal conditioning system use. Hence, this research focuses on the creation of an experimental apparatus, two complimentary mathematical methods, and an experimental framework designed to discover quantified thermal and mechanical perceptive linkages apparent in the sensation of transient airflow over human skin.
