My interest in painting animals led me to explore human–animal relations through contemporary art. By examining the role of the domesticated animal in the broad history of the human–animal relationship and the history of the representation of animals in Western art, I see domestication of animals as expressions of human culture. I explore my own perspective on our common bonds, of compassion and co-existence with pets through my studio research and invite viewers to interact with my two- and three- dimensional paintings.<br>
