Crowdsourcing describes a range of activities where an external community is utilised to address a question, problem or task. Three studies are presented investigating crowdsourcing techniques as a means of value-creation. These studies contribute insights into the way crowdsourcing can create value; considerations in using crowdsourcing, and a model for online community assisted value-creation.
