Rajkishore Nayak

Dr. Rajkishore Nayak is working as an Associate Professor with the School of Communication & Design (SCD) at RMIT University Vietnam. His current research areas focus on sustainability in fashion and textiles; circular fashion; waste management; corporate social responsibility; green supply chain, new and advanced materials. He is also involved in teaching Bachelors of fashion students and supervising PhD students in the areas of fashion and textile sustainability. Prior to joining at RMIT Vietnam Dr. Nayak has worked in contemporary fashion (design and management), human ecology, product development, sustainable dyeing technologies and functional materials in India and Australia. He has worked in Bruck Textiles, Melbourne Australia in design and development of protective clothing for firefighters to improve performance as well as comfort. He has also worked in the improvement of performance and comfort of protective clothing used for Defense. He has more than 160 high impact research publications in his area of research. He is working in collaboration with some universities in Africa, Europe, and Asia. He has received the RMIT excellence in Learning & Teaching Award, the RMIT Research Excellence Award, and RMIT Excellence in Research and Teaching.
